Hi there mate, you haven't failed whatsoever because life is never about one thing it's about many things and sometimes we can get more focused on one of them than others. Firstly I applaud you for wanting to be self emplyed, I did this 20 years ago and it's one of the best decisions I have made in my life, the benefits are indescribably good and make me such a happier and most importantly free person which suits my personality and core being perfectly. With regard to carnivore, you know the process, you know the benefits that it will bring to you so when you're ready you'll carry on, nothing has "stopped", it's just in a period of change. Get on with starting the rest of life with regards to how you earn money now and on that note I wish you all the very best, it's more worthwhile than you even know! I struggled (week 8 for me now) last week because I "treated" myself to a MacDonalds meal and a thick shake....turns out it wasn't a treat at all because it wasn't that nice but bought my sugar withdrawal all the way back in full force and the past 7 days have been extremely tough whereas before that dogshit food I was getting to a very comfortable place mentally with it all. Anyway, it was a valuable lesson that I obviously required so I'm doing the best thing we can do with lessons and learning from it and acting upon that knowledge, I will NEVER eat that crap again or anything like it, I'm more locked in than ever now after being reminded of how nasty that awful addictive food is. So go and do what you need to do mate and just be the best you can, also please keep us updated with your progress. All the strength and love to you bro! Dan

Funny how we have a lot of the same experiences starting with our time doing carnivore (Week 8) Then coffee and dip exclusion. Looks like you are back sliding on coffee as I have but with dip I'm still holding the line. Dude I'm 62 years old. Although it sounds like you have always been the type of person to not hesitate to pull the rip cord I wonder if you are seeing better more clearly since you started eating mostly meat? For me its like my clarity of thought has got me to better understand the hamster wheel effect of life. More and more I am thinking it's better to be poor and happy than well off or rich and miserable. God Bless - John G

Thank you for your comment! It actually do hesitate to rip the cord in terms of financial risk probably because of a subconscious fear of becoming homeless or social stigma of failure. But yeah this way of eating might have in some way awoken a desire to move forward. Again thank you for you comments i appreciate it.

According to my experience, the biggest problem in the Carniovore lifestyle is Coffee and other caffeine products. Caffeine whips the adrenal glands to produce too much cortisol, which cheers you up. Too much cortisol disrupts sugar metabolism, causes sweet hunger and also muscle catabolism. In addition, coffee reduces the absorption of iron by about 60%. Caffeine also makes you impatient, making it harder to stick to decisions. Many people following the Carniovore lifestyle have to constantly use electrolytes because of coffee. Coffee metabolism consumes a lot of minerals, which end up in the sewer. In Carniovore groups, Coffee is even recommended, even though it is a plant and even though caffeine is a neurotoxin. But you should be patient here.☝ It took me over a year to get rid of coffee and all caffeine products, but it was definitely the best decision for me. I successfully weaned myself with caffeine pills. The only real reason for using coffee is a strong physical and social addiction, and nothing else.

Looks like things are really picking up for you dude which is excellent to hear! I can relate to the energy thing (week 6 for me now) from both a mental and physical aspect too, I won't say I feel super energetic but definitely more so then usual. The cravings are still there but not so much and I've gone from getting a little bit bored of steak to absolutely loving it more than ever, I get ravenous now when I'm preparing it and enjoy it so much! My sleep has been a little better but unfortunately I have an ongoing issue with enlarged prostate (thankfully benign not serious) that wakes me up maybe 3 times a night to go to the toilet so my sleep is always interrupted but I'm getting back to sleep faster than usual which is a good thing. The one difference that I'm very excited about is that the arthritic pain I've had in my left had for a couple of years (I'm 58 by the way) has all but disappeared which is huge for me because if that goes away then I'll be extremely happy as I play guitar and it's been worrying me that I may no longer be able to. I'm still drinking coffee but only two cups in the morning with cream and no sugar and I've now got much more used to having it that way but it will eventually have to go also. Anyway once again buddy I say well done and keep it up, take care mate, all the best, Dan.

Try iodized salt . I use Morton iodized salt in my water and I find it gives me the same good energy I get from eggs. (Can’t tell you how much to put (I use a pinch ish in a 16.9 oz water bottle) ) . I assume is because they both have iodine . Look up videos on iodine through carnivore it’s super interesting . Dr berry is obsessed with iodine so his channel is good and he has a conversation with someone who wrote a book about iodine. I know you can get iodine from some meats and eggs and other things but if you don’t want to eat 18 ,000 times a day just to keep up energy start there.. it’s working great for me so far .

I am really sensitive, you may not be, but trying only beef, salt and water for a while may be a good idea. I have done 100% carnivore for 1.5 years. The last 6 months I have done only beef, egg yolks, sea salt, and occasionally liver or bone broth. Dropping all dairy (including butter) and egg whites was good for me. As long as the meat comes from a healthy animal, and the butcher did not make a mistake by cutting into the intestines, raw should be fine. If you get meat with traces of feces on it, it will only be on the surface, so if you just cook it "blue rare" it is safe. Spending time in the sun is also helping, and I don't burn as easily after I started carnivore (cholesterol may have a protective effect). I recommend it ☀ Good luck with quitting all your addictions, it's impressive that you are doing all at once 👍 For me caffeine and carbohydrates was the most difficult, nicotine was not that bad.

Knowing as I have for 6 years now with not drinking (and drinking heavily every single day as I was) and not smoking after quittting 18 months ago...sooner or later your habitual thinking just changes and then you get to the stage when you realise that you didn't "need" those things at all, it was just bad programming. What I've learned about sugar in the last year has sickened me, my mother died of dementia 2 years ago and I now know that her intake of suger (especially in the form of so called healthy fruit) was most likely the cause of that despicable illness. It's sick what these food companies and their associates have and still do get away with, when I walk into the local supermarket and see aisles full of brightly coloured packages of chocolate, sweets (candy as you guys call it) and all the other shit that society labels as "treats" for children it makes me realise the full extent of the evil at play. Well done brother, you're still winning and ultimately THAT is all that matters but yeah it can be a rough ride (I entered week three two days ago). A little psychological armour for you is this...remember when you struggle with the withdrawal from sugar that that shows exactly how evil the food industry and world around us generally is...that they create and allow that filth that keeps you so addicted to it. The way this world works for money is and always has been disgusting when it comes to things like this, I gave up drinking alcohol nearly six years ago and then stopped smoking (I was a thirty a day idiot) a year and a half ago and now I have the clarity and understanding to see the reality of these designer addictive products. Use the knowledge that you're beating that system to give you the strength required to see you through the tough times, fight back at these scum companies that have been stealing your money and destroying your life. I can honestly say that in the last 3 or 4 days I'm feeling way fewer cravings and generally I feel somehow better than I had been, it's hard to describe it other than to say I feel "right" and that feeling that I'm beating the system gives me a sense of self power and I can feel the same freedom I felt when I knew I was over alcohol and nicotine withdrawal. It takes a little time but you WILL get there if you persist, f**k that system that tricks you into a false happiness while it kills you for money. All strength to you brother! 🙂 💪 ❤

Keep at it dude, I'm on day 11 today and I've found it a challenge not to snack and eat the sugary stuff but like you I've managed not to. I haven't noticed any change in sleep and mine is typically pretty bad so hopefully it'll improve. I also have coffee in the morning but obviously I removed sugar from it and have it with cream instead of milk, I'll probably stop it soon too though but one step at a time. Anyway I wish you all the best with it and look forward to seeing your updates.

You oiled the rings during installation, something you shouldn't do which is why the compression became better over time.

Wow I can't fathom doing all that work & not having a modern valve job done... That would've been a easy FREE 15-20hp. And saved you 40 hours of cleaning LoL

What do you mean modern valve job?

@@jasonhudson5861 We use SERDI Machines now. Not stones set at 2 or 3 angles. They have a rounded radius cut. Not to mention when doing the valve job these various radius cutters clean up the bowl area. That in itself is a HUGE improvement over the factory valve job...
